I’m finally home in Heaven
The pains and cares of Earth are gone
Dear ones you made life there brighter
Even when hard times felt too long
Although I love you so deeply
My love can’t begin to compare
To the depth of God’s love for you
That led Him redemption to bear
My place in heaven did not come
From anything I did on my own
It’s all God’s grace and forgiveness
That lets me call heaven my home
My most fervent prayer on Earth
Was for God to fill your heart too
So that someday you’ll join me here
When your life on Earth is all through
My other prayer for you was
That when hard times come in your life
You draw closer to God and each other
And you FEEL Him with you in strife
Although I’m no longer with you
God’s presence is never gone
He sends His love notes so often
In His Word, in nature, and song
Look for those love notes my dear ones
May your faith, hope, and love be strong
And let those love notes remind you
To God’s family you belong.
